Knight Family, England

My dad, Peter Knight, was born in Kent in 1942.

In his memoir, the first sentence in the chapter about his early life reads, “I enjoyed generally a very happy childhood.”

I found this photo in one of my dad’s old albums and the caption read “Maurice Day, son of Noeline Day, nee Massie, cousin of DGK (Gwen Knight, my grandmother). Joined Royal Navy, second to Fleet Air Arm. Jet reconnaissance plane crashed into the North Sea. Died aged 27 about 1963.”
